Responsibilities
Identifying New Business Opportunities
Proactively seek and identify new business prospects in the industrial automation sector, with a focus on electromechanics, geared motors, and conveyor systems.
Target new customers in the UK market, emphasizing opportunities where MDR solutions add substantial value.
Expand the customer base through strategic partnerships and long-term relationship building.
Project Acquisition
Lead efforts to secure new projects, maintaining a strong and healthy sales pipeline.
Develop and present tailored automation solutions addressing client needs, leveraging expertise in motion control, variable speed drives, and single-axis servo applications.
Relationship Building
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key customers including OEMs and system integrators.
Act as a trusted advisor, understanding customer goals and challenges while providing expert automation guidance.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a seamless transition from lead generation to customer success.
Market Expansion & Competitive Positioning
Utilize deep technical knowledge of automation technologies and market trends to position the company ahead of competitors, particularly in the UK market.
Develop and implement targeted strategies to improve market presence and sales performance.
Industry Networking & Events
Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to showcase the company’s solutions and stay informed on emerging trends.
Engage with industry stakeholders to enhance visibility, connections, and brand awareness.
Job Requirements
Qualifications
Relevant qualification in Engineering, Mechatronics, Electronics, or a similar field.
Proven experience in industrial automation sales, particularly in motion control systems, geared motors, variable speed drives, and servo applications.
Skills & Traits
Strong technical understanding of electromechanics and automation systems.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships from engineering level to C-suite.
Natural sales ability with a proactive, solution-selling mindset.
Experience selling to OEMs and working with conveyor systems is a significant advantage.
Strong negotiation skills with a track record of closing deals effectively.
