Purpose of the Role

The Control Systems Engineer works directly with customers to define functional requirements, design control system solutions, and lead on-site commissioning and qualification. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver robust, compliant, and innovative automation systems that support modernization and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Engineering & Design

  • Develop control system designs, documentation, panel layouts, and schematics.

  • Redline and update P&IDs to ensure accuracy.

  • Define and validate distributed control system (DCS) architectures.

Implementation & Commissioning

  • Perform testing, startup, and commissioning activities.

  • Ensure systems meet functional, compliance, and performance requirements.

Technical Leadership

  • Lead engineering teams to execute deliverables.

  • Mentor junior engineers.

  • Enhance engineering standards and processes.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Support business development during pre-sales.

  • Assist in defining scopes, solutions, and cost estimates.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 2–8 years of experience in industrial automation or control systems engineering.

  • Hands-on experience with Emerson DeltaV systems.

  • Strong understanding of design, configuration, and coding methodologies.

  • Experience with Microsoft Windows environments.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Chemical, or Computer Engineering (or related).

  • Excellent communication and customer collaboration skills.

  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
