Purpose of the Role
The Account Manager drives new and existing robotic automation sales within the assigned territory. You will support strategic sales initiatives, build strong customer and integrator relationships, uncover automation needs, and champion advanced robotics solutions to grow market presence.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Sales Leadership
Develop sales strategies to meet revenue and growth targets.
Create structured account plans and manage CRM pipelines.
Identify strategic opportunities with engineering and technical teams.
Customer & Integrator Engagement
Build relationships across engineering, operations, and purchasing.
Strengthen partnerships with system integrators and channel partners.
Represent the company at industry events and conferences.
Sales Execution & Opportunity Management
Develop proposals, quotations, and training/support packages.
Deliver accurate forecasts and coordinate order accuracy.
Identify challenges and drive cross-functional solutions.
Market Intelligence & Collaboration
Provide competitive insights and industry feedback.
Work with marketing, engineering, and operations to meet regional goals.
Support a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
Operational & Compliance Responsibilities
Maintain accurate CRM and follow all sales processes.
Manage administrative and travel expenses.
Adhere to safety, quality, and compliance standards.
Qualifications & Experience
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering (or equivalent experience).
Experience
Minimum 5 years in robotics, automation, or capital equipment sales.
Proven experience managing high-value industrial accounts.
Strong knowledge of robotics, controls, automation systems, and factory technologies.
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM tools.
Technical Skills
Ability to interpret electrical designs and automation documentation.
Familiarity with robotic arms, PLCs, motion control, and safety systems.
Communication Skills
Excellent presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building ability.
Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills
Strong analytical reasoning for cost models and business justification.
Ability to assess customer needs and propose impactful solutions.
Work Environment & Travel
Hybrid role with regular Houston-area travel.
Occasional international travel for training or global support.
Ability to lift up to ~20 lbs for demos.
